Quote (Jan. 7, 2020): "The awareness of our own strength makes us modest." (Paul Cezanne)"As each has received a gift, use it to SERVE ONE ANOTHER as good Stewards of God's varied grace." (1 Peter 4:10)Let us recognize our gifts, and serve, to fulfill our purpose !

Quote (Jan. 6, 2020): "Never leave that till tomorrow which you can do today." -Benjamin FranklinNehemiah recognizes that people of God are dispersed among the Nations and they are losing sight of what is important. They put off God's commandments and works until they lost sight of their purpose. God is Merciful and will keep his Covenant always to those who love God and keep his commandments. Nehemiah TAKES ACTION and gathers God's people to help rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.Let's intentionally walk in the spirit rather than being wanderers in this strange land where others only abide by time and chance.

Quote (Jan. 4, 2020): "Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul" (Emily Dickinson). This hope can give us strength.1 Sam. 17:4 "And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span." A man that other men were threatened by, he had all the confidence in the world because he was comparing himself to other men. v. 26 David didn't know who this "champion" was but he just saw all the men very fearful, having no courage. David knew that courage was the only way to overcome at this point. He knew the strength God has given him though past battles and he had the courage to take on whatever this "champion" was. He defeats Goliath.

Quote (Jan. 3, 2020): "Be Fierce"2 Tim. 3:3 uses "Fierce" in a negative tense. I am more-so talking about the slang term in today's society. This blog post I found looks at certain aspects of the word in a positive tense, kind of in a way twisting its true meaning. We should be PASSIONATE about God's word and what's right, although not in an aggressive way. We pray for our thoughts to be fixed on only what is pure, true, honourable, right, lovely, and admirable. About things that are excellent and worthy of praise. (Phil. 4:8)Clothe us in strength and honour, as we rejoice in the time to come!

Quote (Jan. 2nd): What happens to a man is less significant than what happens within him. (Louis L. Mann)"Lead me, Lord, in YOUR righteousness because of MY enemies - make your way straight before me." (Psa. 5:8)I pray in the coming year we don't get enslaved of the things of this world such as the fear of man nor anything that holds us back from being our best selves. For those who follow after the things of the flesh cannot please God nor his purpose for us. So, guide us to walk after the spirit. (Rom. 8:5)

Quote (Jan. 1): "Rise and Smile"Proverbs 31 - How to be a virtuous woman in the new year. We pray for courage in Christ, that we may be clothed with dignity and strength, faithfulness, gentleness, thoughtfulness, and good morals. A virtuous woman is worth far more than rubies.--Have patience with me while I begin this journey. I will try and post daily podcasts to encourage meditation on God's word of truth in the year 2020.
